Obituary for Dorothy T. Snipp

Dorothy Wilkins (Grimes) Snipp, Mt. Washington, Ky. passed away on Monday, October 30. Dorothy, born 8/3/29, Louisville, Ky. to Mary and Charles Wilkins. She graduated from Shawnee High School, was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church and past president of their Women’s Club. Dorothy worked as a bookkeeper, cashier, operator and numerous other jobs. She loved her family, pets, bingo, bus trips and camping. Dorothy is survived by her children: Linda (Tom) Brown, Dennis (Cathy) Grimes, Gary (Donna) Grimes, David (Lisa) Grimes, Judy (Rod) Barnes, Barbara Snipp and Donna (Marshall) Stone. She has 34 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandkids. Dorothy was preceded in death by her daughter (Teresa Meadows), husbands (Guy Grimes and Bartley Snipp), great-grandaughter (Morganne Hartman), brother (Charles Wilkins, Jr) and step-son (James Snipp). The family would like to thank Good Samaritan and Baptist for their care. Dorothy will be at Schmid Funeral Home from 2-7 on Sunday, 11/5/17. The funeral mass will be Monday, 11/6 at St. Francis Xavier Church in Mt. Washington at 10 am.
