Obituary for Betty Jean Thompson

Betty Jean Thompson, 75 , of Mt. Washington passed away September 2, 2017. She was the former Betty Jean Powers and a native of Louisville.
She was a member of the Mt. Washington United Methodist Church and also a retired custodian of the church.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, Elmo Thompson; sister, Alma Cox; brothers, Harold and Frankie Powers.
She is survived by her daughters, Sheila Eastwood (Eddie) and Joyce Thackston (Richard); sister, Wanda Oliver (Glen); brothers, Terry, Jerry and Johnny Powers; grandchildren, Justin Kearney, Jessica Tan, Kara Stopher and Kenzie Miracle; 6 great grandchildren.
Her funeral will be 2pm Wednesday at Schmid Funeral Home in Mt. Washington with burial in the Mt. Washington Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11am Wednesday until service time.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Heart Association.
